Jayneca Reyes is a documentary filmmaker and a human rights advocate based in the Philippines. Her earlier work include Bagong Silang (2016), a short documentary about urban poor people who were forcibly removed from their informal settlements in 1980s to establish the City of Man - a testament to the dictator's accomplishments.
Documentaries are not just a cinematic form of expression, but a medium that could inspire people, spark curiosity and open a space for dialogues that could later on influence change.
