Director Statement

Director Lee Eun-gyu recorded four testimonies of women who went through the world's gender prejudice and sexism through Women's Interview X Archive Series.
It is the numerous video materials and clips held by KBS that weigh on the testimony of women in the archive series.

In <Gag Women: the story of Korean comediennes>, female comedians told their stories of changing the times, and in <Documentary Yoon Yeo-jung>, actress Yoon Yeo-jung's aides proved to what extent she was an innovative and creative actress.
In <Documentary National Team>, female sports players were unfairly treated just because they were women, and in <Documentary Newsroom>, female anchors at home and abroad vividly described how the male-dominated broadcasting station is changing.

The 5th film of her archive series, which returned after 2 years, is <Documentary Girl>. In order to finally examine the process of the emergence of a girl group that sings lyrics that say “I love you” rather than “Love me,” the director Lee, who has been doing her part in the middle of K-pop history, has been working hard on girl groups of various generations. The member was summoned to the interview room.
