We are now announcing the opening for submissions of Docademia’s 4th Annual Short Documentary Contest! This contest is hosting by Docademia collaborating with StoryBolt.

Selected documentaries will be added to our library, which a number of universities and organizations can have access to it. They can book a Q&A session with filmmakers and therefore, filmmakers will be engaged with their true audience!

Filmmakers will have a chance to compete for $1000, $500, $250 cash prizes, as well as the opportunity to license their film through Docademia. Runners up will also be given distribution deals and have opportunities to collect royalties when their film is purchased by corporations or institutions of higher learning.

    Overall experience was good. It would have been great if they could provide a certificate of officieel selection. I signed an agreement but no further communication has been done from the prganiser's side.

    I was really happy to be accepted to Docademia, but the contract I would have had to sign was different then it was said at the beginning and different then explained in the email I received. I sent an email with detailed questions regarding this but unfortunately never got a reply. Or to be precise, I only got a reply that I will get a reply, but never got one. It might all have been a misunderstanding though, I don't know. I am not shore what exactly happened, but I am sorry it did not work out.
