Divine Intervention
After nearly causing an international incident, Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is stripped of her powers and sent to Earth. Once there, she strikes a deal: if she can help Delia, an unlucky-in-love Brooklynite, find true love, she can be readmitted to the pantheon. Insecure meets The Good Place in this buddy comedy disguised as a rom-com.

Zina Ellis is one of those kids who put way too much effort into her high school English class projects. An Illinois native (not Chicago, the other part), she was a nice Midwestern girl until she joined a morally bankrupt sketch comedy group while attending Yale University. In this group, she discovered that she probably wouldn't immediately go to hell for saying the word "fuck". A true scammer, she graduated with a Theater Studies degree despite taking the same Musical Theatre Performance class 5 separate times, and after touring the world with her all-women's a cappella group (yup, she's one of those), she moved to New York to have her soul crushed even further. After years of doing theatre in weird basements for zero dollars, spending her tutoring-day-job money on UCB classes, touring with a production of Cinderella that she's actually really proud of, and then experiencing a global pandemic, she is branching out into writing for TV and film. Ideally, she would like to become one part Issa Rae and one part Audra McDonald, but at this point she would just be happy to be allowed to leave her home. Someday!
