I'm a passionate film director born and raised in the middle of the world, Ecuador. For many, making movies is an escape, however, for me, making movies is about us and the world that surrounds us. The movies that I make reflect the features of humankind including virtues and faults. Filmmaking is an art of expression that can be motivational and inspiring and that's my goal with every movie that I make, I like to make people feel.
I graduated from New York Film Academy - Los Angeles and since then I keep making movies, music videos, and ads. My vision as a director involves collaboration, I value participation, opinions and ideas from my crew and cast. Stories belong to all of us.
"Distorted Mirrors" is the perfect example of the stories that I like to make, stories about us. Movies are life experiences; they either come from us or to us. In this movie, Mallory represents the life of many women and men with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD). "Distorted Mirrors" is more than a film, it's a personal story and it reflects their unfortunate struggle and their voice. This honest film is an opportunity to give hope. Movies say more when they inspire us, when they relate to us, when they demonstrate to us that we are not alone. I hope this movie can demonstrate that. This is a movie based on life experiences.
