Experiencing Interruptions?

Discarnate

Two brothers, who recently dropped out as Physics majors, explore a so called haunted forest. What they don't realize is that the paranormal experiences in the forest are caused by a doorway to parallel universes. The only thing they can do to try to get back home is to travel deeper through the multiverse.

Director Biography - Steal Adcock

Grew up with my aunt and uncle in a small town with not much to do in terms of the city. My first interest developed when I was three years old when my aunt had this old medical dictionary. I saw a picture of the human digestive system and asked her what that was. As soon as she did my interest in human anatomy grew. I participated in science fairs until my junior year in high school.

Back in fifth grade, my interests turned to film-making after my teacher told me to make a live-action film for my school project that year instead of another claymation animation. At first unsure, I agreed. Once I got a taste of the creative freedom you can have as a director and writer I was madly driven to continue making films with friends outside school.

Today, I have a Bachelor's in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology from St. Mary's University (StMU). With over 15 years of filmmaking experience, I have built up the skills for managing large-scale projects that often take a year to complete, writing 45-130 page scripts, revising scripts, and marketing my films on social media. One of my films was recently screened at the Victoria Independent Film festival, titled Solipsism (2018).

I took graphic design and media production classes in the past and have a portfolio of photography work that combines raw photos and Adobe Photoshop. I have done color correction, panoramas, collages, advertisements, and illusions in Photoshop.

My film experiences in writing, editing, directing, and composing my own independent full-length and short film projects and working a job for St. Mary's Law School to edit and film a documentary have given me the variety of management and perseverance skills necessary to take on the tasks of a professional filmmaker. I created 3 promotional commercials for the Family Life Center, a branch of St. Mary’s University, to market their counseling services and I recently worked at the STRIVE Career Center where I collaborated with higher-ups to create several short promotional videos to market their career services.

After graduating from StMU, I got my current job as a Remote Content Writer for Performance First Marketing (Los Angeles, CA). In my 2nd-to-last semester for my MA in Counseling Psychology at the University of Houston-Victoria (UHV).
