Tbilisi 4th International Internet Festival of Short Films "Diogenes 2023" starts accepting films for the main competition:

Note:
Films will be accepted from April 3, until October 15.
The films selected for the festival's main competition will be announced on November 15 and the festival will officially open on this day. Award ceremonial of the winning films will take place on November 22.
The participation fee is $5 only.
Selected films will be shown on the big screen in the second half of November.

Awards & Prizes

There will be two groups of judges -
1. Main international jury
2. Student jury
The main international jury will select four winning films in the following categories: feature, animation, documentary, experimental, and musical.
Also, the same jury will award winners with diplomas in feature, animation, documentary, experimental, and musical categories.
The student jury of the festival will select winners and award them with prizes, named "Alaverdoba", "Serenade", "Sapovnela", and "Musicians" in the categories of fiction, animation, documentary, experimental, and musical.
Also, the same jury will award winners with diplomas in feature, animation, documentary, experimental, and musical categories.

Masterclasses will be held between November 13-21.

Rules & Terms

Terms of the contest:
1. The duration of the film should not exceed 15 minutes and 45 seconds.
2. The film should be made in 2022-2023.

3. Animated, artistic, documentary, experimental, and video art films are accepted.

4. No violence, no separatism, no intolerance, no revanchism, no war propaganda.

5. Free theme
6. Each participant can submit no more than 2 (two) films.
7. The film must be accompanied by English subtitles.
8. The organizers of the festival have the right to download the film submitted to the competition for the selection and full work of the jury.

This year's slogan of the festival is "The world is us!"

    Please note this information - at the Tbilisi International Short Film Festival "Diogene", films are selected in two (2) stages.
    After the completion of the first (1) stage, the author will be notified. Also, considering the regulations of the festival, the author should allow us to download the film. If we are not allowed to do so, the film opens from the pre-competition marathon.
    Only after passing the second (2) stage, the film enters the main competition program, and the author or the film's representative is sent a festival token, confirming that the film has entered the main competition.
    Films in the main competition are evaluated by an international jury and an independent student jury.
    Their activities are completely autonomous, and the organizing committee of the festival does not and cannot interfere in the process of evaluation and results.
    Everything is regulated by the chairman of the main international jury of the festival.
    It was, is and will be like this since the festival was founded.

    horrible experience, after the festival marked my film selected, there was no communication. i researched that there is a list of participating films on the festival website, but i didn't find my film there. so, i wrote a direct letter to help understand the problem. as a result, no answer. what was expected.
