This series will feature powerful documentaries that bring light to significant and challenging stories that need to be voiced.

*Shorts Zone:
Innovative and challenging shorts from all over the world.

*The Masters Zone:
Leading experts in the industry will cover all aspects of filmmaking. Some of the topics will include Direction, Production, Camera, Sound, Lighting, Set Design, Script Writing, Casting, Costume design, marketing etc.
Masters Workshops:
We will also host a number of masterclass workshops, with leading experts.

Feature Zone: A trophy to the best film
Documentary Zone: A trophy to the best film
Short film zone: A cash prize of 5,000 Euro's to the director of the best short film.

1. FEATURES AND DOCUMENTARIES SUBMISSIONS REGULATIONS 2024
- All genres are accepted, e.g. animation, fiction, documentary, experimental.
- Film completed 1st of January 2023 or later.
- Completed productions only.
- Working copies accepted ONLY if agreed with the festival.
- A film can be submitted only once.
- Premiere not required.
- Accepted screening formats DCP or Digital File (Apple ProRes 422 or H.264).
- Screening copy must be in or subtitled in English.
- Submitter is responsible for all the copyrights.
- By submitting the film, you commit to the screening if the film is selected.
- No screening fee for selected films.
- Regular deadline is September.
- Submission fee = €40 per film.

HOW TO SUBMIT FEATURES AND DOCS
- Submissions can be made via FilmFreeway.
- Register to the site.
- Fill in the submission form carefully.
- Upload at least 3 stills of the film (300 DPI).
- Make sure the preview file is working correctly.
- Preview file must be in English or subtitled in English.
- For features submit to Dingle Film Festival – Feature Zone.
- For documentaries submit to Dingle Film Festival – Documentary Zone.
- Make your payment in your FilmFreeway checkout cart.
- Final selections are announced in October at www.dinglefilmfest.com.
- Filmmakers will be notified before the public announcement of the programme.

JURIES AND PRIZES – FEATURES AND DOCS
- The organisers will nominate an International Jury of three members.
- The following prizes will be given to the film directors:
[i] Grand Prix: a Festival trophy/diploma
[ii] Special Mention(s)

- In addition to the prizes mentioned above, it is possible for other organisations and associations to award films in both International Competitions with the approval of the festival.

IF THE FILM IS SELECTED – FEATURES AND DOCS
- Information given in the entry form (synopsis, credits, etc…) will be used as such in all printed and online publications, social media etc.
- Screening copy must be delivered at least TWO WEEKS before the festival.
- Screening copy must have English subtitles and be identical to the preview copy.
- The festival is authorised to make one excerpt not exceeding THREE MINUTES of the total running time of the selected films to be used in promoting the festival in various media.
- The festival will insure the screening copy while in the festival’s possession.
- The insurance will follow the regulations of FIAPF.
- The festival will cover the return expenses of the screening copy if needed.
- The festival will not pay screening fees for films selected into the competition.

2. INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM COMPETITION 2024 REGULATIONS
- All genres are accepted, e.g. animation, fiction, documentary, experimental, etc...
- Maximum length 20 minutes, including credits.
- Film completed 1st of January 2023 or later.

- Submit to Dingle Film Festival – Shorts.
- Make the payment in your FilmFreeway checkout cart.
- Final selections are announced in October at www.dinglefilmfest.com.
- Filmmakers will be notified before the public announcement.

DINGLE FILM FEST ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL
Films selected into the International Competition may also be screened online for the festival audience in Ireland if agreed by the submitter. Dingle online film festival will be available via www.dinglefilmfest.com for TWO WEEKS following the festival.

3. DINGLE ONLINE FILM LIBRARY
Films selected to the International Competition will automatically be entered into Dingle Film Festival’s Online Film Library. The Online Film Library is available for accredited professionals only and is open for ONE MONTH – April 2024.

4. NON-SPECIFIED CASES
Any such cases not mentioned in these regulations will be left to the festival’s consideration in accordance with FIAPF International Regulations. By submitting the entry form the submitter acknowledges that they have read, understood and accepted the regulations without reservation.
