Digest The World: Another Organ

The inhabitants of this world have organs that humans do not have.

They perceive through "eating" and create new relationships through "excreting.

There are various objects in the world surrounding the inhabitants, and they sometimes flicker and glow.
What do these lights mean?

The inhabitants, who are constantly searching for something to eat, do not see the light.
Eating something that doesn't glow just produces poop.

If, by chance or necessity, they eat something that glitters and is digested by "another organ," ......
You may fart and fly, you may find a tool that can be used for something, you may find a beautifully colored fruit, or you may find something that glitters for someone else.

GRASP is an activity of YOKOKU Research Institute(KOKUYO Co., Ltd.), MUESUM, and YOSHIKATSU that explores the "technique to understand the various phenomena that occur every day as if we were eating".
"Grasping the whole world" "getting to the bottom of things" and "foraging" are to be used as clues for experimenting and practicing "prototyping of research methods".

Director Statement

It has been about a year since the project was launched in the spring of 2022. We have foraged and digested various objects (stones, mushrooms, sounds, textures, colors, words, postures, perspectives ......) through collecting in the fields and mountains of Yamagata pref. and in the streets of Tokyo, discovering ideas and possibilities for collaboration that go beyond exploratory discussions. Using these materials, he produced a very short animated film, "Digest The World: Another Organ," which symbolizes the philosophy and process of GRASP's activities.
