I'm Diego Alamillo, a Mexican filmmaker who loves acting, writing, producing and directing. My love for story telling began in junior high where I had my first minor roles in some theater plays at my school. After that I just had a huge desire for story telling which then got me involved into anything that had to do with filmmaking.
I have taken a filmmaking course in NYFA, and currently I am studying communication and film in one of Mexico's best universities "Tecnológico de Monterrey" in which I have been part of projects such as "Piso 6" (winner of the 1st edition of the "48hrs Film Festival" in Monterrey) the first short film I directed and started as well as "Pálida" / "Ashen" the most big and ambitious project I have been part of until now. Which I wrote, produced and also starred in.
I hope that in a future I can be part of a new wave of Latino filmmakers that can inspire the world through their stories, and show to people that it doesn't matter which country you are from, GREAT STORIES CAN COME FROM EVERYWHERE.
