Inspector Neelkanth Tiwari is living a happy, healthy and most beautiful life one can ever imagine. With his loving wife Gauri on his side, he can win anything in this world. Posted in a reputed police station in his hometown Varanasi, Neelkanth can’t ask destiny for more. He has an ideal and understanding father who guides him in the low and high of life, an angel like daughter Pari who loves her daddy most in this world and a house in the heartland of Varanasi.
He is living such a beautiful and utopian life that creates a doubt in his own mind. How can a man with an average salary and normal life be so happy and cheerful? He finds his answer when someone kills him when he takes his ill daughter to the doctor. He finds that the life he lived, was an illusion and only existed in his mind. In reality, Neelkanth is a drunkard, foul-mouthed, blunt and rude guy who is having a troubled marriage life.
When his childhood friend Samar returns to Varanasi after completing higher education in law and poses himself as the best lawyer you know, Neelkanth requests him to kill his wife. Initially, Samar mocks this proposal but circumstances forces him to eradicate Gauri from Neelkanth’s life in a unique way. He makes Neelkanth consume ‘Dhatura’ and traps him to kill his wife. High on ‘Dhatura’, Neelkanth kills his wife Gauri and Samar gets him bail from the court. Meanwhile, Neelkanth encounters an altogether different life where he is happy and satisfied, in his thoughts only.
