Datura
Once a kind husband, a loving son, and a dutiful police inspector, Neelkanth Tiwari lost his job after an incident. His marriage fell apart, and he turned into a drunkard, drug addict, and abusive unemployed man. His wife, Gauri, was unhappy and begged him to get help.
Neel's lawyer friend, Samar, returned to town and tried to help him. But Neel was too far gone, and he begged Samar to kill Gauri for him. Samar refused at first, but eventually he agreed to help Neel in a unique way. He created an atmosphere where Neelkanth killed his wife in an intoxicated state, and Samar then used the "intoxication defense" in court to get him acquitted.
However, during this journey, Neel encountered another life where he found himself as a happy man. He realized that happiness doesn't cost much, and he decided to change his ways. He got sober, got a job, and reconciled with Gauri. They lived happily ever after.

We wanted to tell a simple story of love and harmony in a non-linear Narrative. We wanted to show that a happy and fulfilling life can be lived with love, affection, and support, even with fewer material resources. The key to living this life happily is to balance the harmony between consciousness and nature, and between man and woman. The metaphor of Shiva and Shakti in Shiva's Ardhanarishvara form is the key message of this film.
