I completed my double major in Radio TV Film, and Photography at the University of North Texas in Denton Texas, U.S.A in 1997, after studying 1 year of Jazz Drums in the Music Department. I still give drum lessons to children :)
I started my career as a Flame Artist for commercials and feature films in 1998. I have changed my path to becoming a director and shot numerous music videos for Turkish bands and foreign artists, such as Fredrika Stahl, Sony Music France, EMI, and Universal Music.
I started directing TV commercials in 2005 for international brands Crate&Barrel, MiniCooper, Lay's, Fox, Nivea, Henkel, Nestle, Turkcell, and Turkish Airlines, working with global agencies, Publicis, Bbdo, Tbwa, and Saatchi,... had Publicis won the EFFIE award for NESCAFE "One Cup for Friends" in 2014. I shot my documentary in 2015, "Staff Benda Bilili" meaning "Look beyond Apperarances," about Infant Paralysis and Passion for Music in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, for THY Turkish Airlines' "Delightful Stories" project, which won me an official screening at LAIFF Los Angeles Independent Film Festival and 1st Prize at Art Without Limits Festival in Kosov in 2020: It is a very heartwarming success story.
My enthusiasm still grows on Cinema Verité documentaries, creative commercials, photography and playing drums :)
