His films are “Devalsari- Abode of Deodars”, “Dampa Hmathlir_Thinking About the Future”, “Uttarakhand, a birding paradise” and “Biodiversity of Uttarakhand”. Gaurab is currently working on his organic farm in his village in Morigaon and is freelancing as a conservation filmmaker.
This film is about how Devalsari Environment Protection and Technology Development Society and how they are trying to create awareness for the importance of biodiversity conservation among students and people by promoting ecotourism and beekeeping as a sustainable livelihood option for villagers. I thought of making this film, so that this community’s work becomes a sustainable model for some other community. Promoting ecotourism while maintaining sustainability can create a bridge between nature and people and bring the lost connection between human and nature.
