Detektive Thumb and The Infinity House

A detective is eaten alive by a house. The idea for Detektive Thumb grew from wanting to combine all of my cinematic interests into one project. The hard-boiled chain smoking detective is rooted in film noir. The color palette and shot design is inspired by the French Cinema-Du-Look and Eastern European aesthetics. I wanted the film to seem infinitely big and claustrophobic at the same time. I also wanted it to feel like it was made by someone who loves film.

Director Statement

This film is meant to experiment with space in a way that feels like puzzle. It should feel infinitely big and claustrophobic, while also being a love letter to all the films I love.
