The Desperado LGBTQ Film and Arts Festival is an event hosted by a PVCC student organization. Desperado’s mission is to showcase quality films that are related to the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community.

** NOTE ** In all likelihood, our 2020 festival will be entirely online. However, we will adjust as needed and Desperado could have October 23-25 onsite events.

Audience Award - no monetary prize.

DVD/BluRay or Digital Download format only.

Important - We are a college affiliated event and therefore require a signed statement verifying 100% ownership of all films that are selected for our festival.

If your film is selected for the festival, then you will need to provide 2 DVD copies to the festival - mailed to the above address - or links for digital download.

Include any relevant publicity photos and information as well as a cast and crew list.

If your entry is accepted for our festival, you will be notified several weeks prior to the festival.

The film must be sent to the Desperado Film Festival at the film maker's expense.

Once a film is submitted, it may not be withdrawn.

Label the DVD with the film's title, running time, director's name and contact phone/email.

Desperado must have permission to use up to 3 minutes of footage or photographic stills from the work for broadcast, web publication or other promotional purposes.

Desperado must be notified in writing of any press or photo restrictions.

Filmmaker holds the Festival harmless from damage to, or loss of, the DVD or any publicity material.

Titles produced in languages other than English must have legible English subtitles.

Didn't hear anything directly from the festival and I didn't attend. So it's hard to really review it. Not sure how the screening went over. Glad my film was a part of it though.
