Desirée is an award-winning filmmaker. She’s loved filmmaking ever since her parents introduced her to the camcorder at a young age. She directs films that capture the complexities of human life, told by a woman, for women. Her work has screened at Sydney Women's International Film Festival, Mystic Film Festival, Cayuga Film Festival, and was a semifinalist for Dumbo Film Festival.
After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Cinema and a minor in Marketing; she has held positions such as Development & Production Coordinator at Honor Society Films, Director of Development at Ithaca Experimental Film Festival, Manager at Park Portable Equipment Center, Executive Director at Park Productions, and finalist in the Coca-Cola Refreshing films competition where she produced her first commercial.
She’s worked with brands like L’oreal, Degree, Nexxus, Lancôme, McDonalds, Bullish, and many more. Her involvement in these projects include assisting, coordinating, and producing. In addition, she enjoys making and being a part of short and feature length films. From professional commercial work to high profile documentaries, she has worked on many different types of film mediums.
