Aine Moorad has held a number of roles in the publishing and communications industry in Canada and overseas, working as a reporter, sub editor, account executive, conference producer and writer. She's worked in newsrooms at the London Free Press in London, Ontario; the Gulf News in Dubai and at the Express Tribune Newspaper, a partner of the International Herald Tribune, the global edition of the New York Times. Her pieces have been published in newspapers and magazines ranging from Women’s Post, the London Free Press, Mississauga News, Gulf News, the Observer, the Simcoe Reformer, Dawn, the Afro News and others. Her work has also been picked up by Dow Jones Factiva, a business information and research database owned by Dow Jones and Company, and the Sustainable Development Policy Institute, a leading think tank in South Asia.
In addition to gaining practical experience, Aine has ensured that she's received professional training to enable her to complete all her writing and editing duties with the utmost professionalism. Aine holds varied editing and writing designations. She recently completed the Professional Sequence in Editing, a post-baccalaureate editing program from the continuing education division at the University of California, Berkeley. UC Berkeley is rated among the world's leading universities, and its editing program is highly respected by industry professionals and taught by accomplished editors. She also holds a Certification in Creative Writing and a Certification in Publicity and Public Relations from the University of Toronto, along with a Technical Writing Certificate from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Aine pursued graduate studies in Journalism from Canada. In addition, she holds a Bachelors with Honours degree in Business Administration (Marketing) from York University. Aine completed her secondary education from St Martha's Senior, an independent school for girls in Herfordshire, England.
Aine is also passionate about photography; her editorial images have been published in books, including, "The Science of Nutrition: Why We Need Vitamins," a textbook published by Crabtree Publishing and "Pakistan," a travel book published by Abdo Publishing Company in Minnesota, as well as in media outlets including the New Yorker, and the Huffington Post. Her photographs have also appeared on numerous websites, including the online versions of the National Geographic Magazine. She completed a photography course from the London School of Photography in London, England in the summer of 2010.
