Director Biography - Ashley James

Ashley James is a director, writer, and devised theatre creator. In 2015, she received the Princess Grace Theatre Honorarium Award to continue her work as an emerging director with Double Edge Theatre in Massachusetts. Later, Ashley relocated to Atlanta where she worked on theatre and film productions with Alliance Theatre, 7Stages Dupont Productions and more. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s of Art in Theatre. In 2018, she returned to FSU to pursue her Master’s in Film Production. While in love with the exchange that occurs in performance with a live audience, Ashley is interested in the ways film can offer a deep dive into the human psyche.
