Deep Sea
Presented as a visual journal entry and created in pixilation style, a father comes home from work, sick and tired, and just needs a few minutes to get some things done, but his kids have other plans; plans like deep sea diving and raising existential questions about what time really means.

Cole Whitaker lives in the Hilltowns of Western Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters, all of whom have now been wrangled into this movie making business. A middle and high school social studies teacher by day, Cole unexpectedly became an amateur filmmaker when his oldest daughter (4 at the time) asked, "Daddy, can we make a movie?," and he, for reasons still unknown given his utter lack of any noteworthy knowledge, experience, or equipment, said yes. That first experiment resulted in the short film "School Day" as well as a newfound curiosity about how movies are made and used. His second film, "Deep Sea," is an attempt to merge the furtive journaling he has long engaged in with the magic of moving pictures, allowing his stories (or at least one of them; the others are watching on with bated breath) to escape from their warren of digital notebooks and be shared with a wider audience.
