Deconstruction

A research in Movement and Form through the medium of ice.

What is a dancer? What is a human body on the ice, how does it move?

This piece examines the movement of the body and its interaction with ice, its ability to move, to express itself and to dance with the one fundamental aspect that is unique to the medium ice: to move in space and to be motionless.

The video also reflects on the dancer herself. We go beneath her skin, and we question if we are watching the performer or her character? Are they different entities or the same, and who decides?
