Death of an Actor

It is the year 1985, aspiring actors, Jeremy and Finn are excited to meet their fellow class-mates and begin their acting training. Throughout the course of their freshmen year, they have their highs and lows, and a strong friendship is forged between the two young men. Flash forward twenty-four years, both men have accomplished a lot. Finn is now an oscar-nominated actor, and Jeremy is an award-winning playwright. Both have had struggles with substance abuse over the years. They try to help each other overcome their demons. But some demons simply can't be defeated.

Writer Biography - Dan Stevan Taube

Dan Taube is a neuro-diverse theatre artist (MFA, DePaul University – Directing). He is a performer, director, producer, educator and playwright. He has worked in Minneapolis, Chicago and New York.

His work has been featured in New York City (Off-Off Broadway)and Chicago’s off loop theatre community. His play, “Birthrite” was performed at Angel Island Theatre in 1993. His play, “Death of an Actor” was a semi-finalist for AACT’s New Play Theatre Fest 2021. And his short play, “The Coin” was featured as a part of Equity Library Theatre’s 2021 Virtual Play Festival. He is a proud member of The Dramatists Guild.
