Death & Sunshine
When Death vanishes from the world of Proxy-3, the mortal cycle grinds to a halt, plunging Gods and mortals alike into chaos. As ancient forces rise and suffering spreads, a forgotten truth only Death remembers threatens to unravel existence itself. Told in a diary-play format, Death & Sunshine explores mortality, myth, and what happens when cosmic balance collapses.

Kristina Garlick has written over twenty published works across fantasy and sci-fi, specializing in powerful emotional arcs and fearless storytelling. Death & Sunshine blends a haunting, philosophical voice with cinematic high-stakes fantasy, designed to leave readers and audiences unsettled, moved, and changed. She writes for those who believe stories should leave scars.
Death & Sunshine was born from my lifelong fascination with the stories we tell about endings — and the fear we bury underneath them. I wanted to create a world where even Death herself could be overwhelmed, could disappear, and where that absence would leave both gods and mortals flailing to find meaning. Through the diary-play format, I aimed to make the divine feel vulnerable, fragmented, and human. This is a story for anyone who has ever wondered what we lose — and what we find — when we refuse to let go.
