Hi there! My name is Dean Milan, a director, cinematographer, photographer, and colorist! When I was a lot younger, I spent my free time exploring different hobbies, sports, and other activities. After lots of scouting, I decided to stay true to what I always came back to! Filmmaking; media production and cinema.
I opened a YouTube channel back in April 2016. Ever since, I've embraced a love for cinematography, storytelling, analog film, and capturing the world around me, molding projects into something I can share with an audience!
While in Cypress Bay High, I was part of a large club team that made weekly episodes for our show called "Aftershock". It was my first leap into the wild west of media creation. I got to experience creating documentaries, local news spots, music videos, short films, dramas, comedic skits, and so much more.
On the side lines, I work with photography, both digital and analog. Being able to shoot on film, develop it, and bundle the digital scans of film with my colorist skills has given me some stunning results, thanks mainly to Kodak stock, Lightroom Classic, and NegativePro! This extended further into motion picture capture, where I get to play with my Krasnogorsk-3 camera and the Bolex or ARRICAM that SCAD offers.
After graduating from high school in 2021, I enrolled in SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) as a Film/TV Production major, B.F.A! I strive to learn from and participate in projects, sets, and crews I have the privilege to work with. I love what I do, and I work hard, continuing my path to expand my skills and portfolio every day.
