Dean Midas is an award winning film director and writer of short horror films.

His first ever film Legend Of The Chained Oak won best film awards at the 2014 Stoke Your Fires, Portobello & Bram Stoker Festivals.

In the Autumn of 2019, he returned to film-making and launched two new horror characters, The Rag Dolly and Eve Valentine.

He has released seven short films as part of their franchise. The Rag Dolly Returns (2019), Valentine's Eve (2020), The Rag Dolly (2020), Dolly v Eve (Halloween 2020), Valentine's Eve 2 (2021), Dolly v Eve: Homecoming (Halloween 2021) & All Hallows Eve Rebirth (Halloween 2022)

The franchise has had over 265,000 views on social media and millions of views around the world on satellite TV and various streaming platforms.

The short films have been officially selected at festivals around the world and featured in numerous magazines, radio stations, online & in print.

In December 2022, Dean Midas was named as the North East Film Maker of the Year and BBC Upload's Film Master for 2023.
