The Dead of Winter Festival is a horror-themed music and arts festival held annually at the Jubilee Hotel in Brisbane. The festival is in its 6th year and attracts an annual crowd of around 1000 people. This years event will be held on Saturday July 25th and feature 40 bands and 10 sideshows, horror cosplay competition plus a short film festival across 5 stages running for 11 hours. Tickets will be $30/35.

This year we wanted to make it bigger and better and our launching a Horror Film Festival, this is where we need you! Any Horror, Zombie, Sci-Fi twisted and dark films we want to see them! Submission are open to everyone! See Rules and Terms for more details!

Rules & Terms

We are after short films and trailers of the dark and twisted type. Horror, zombie, Sci-Fi, thriller you name it. So where ever you are in the world, send them though!

Submission are open to EVERYONE WORLD WIDE
Short films should be no longer than 10mins
Trailers no longer than 2-3mins
Should have a horror or dark based theme
No pornographic material to be submitted please.

We are just a screening platform for your films, we will retain no rights and will not screen your films anywhere other than the festival specified.
