Dead, White, & Blue
An original creation, demonstrating an example of the Soviet Montage Film Movement that existed between 1924-1930. The film also recreates a modern version of the Kuleshov Effect and contains relevant propaganda elements that can be seen within both Soviet Montage and Third Cinema Movements. The focus of the film is in the juxtaposition of the shots showing ideas of freedom portrayed by the United States and the true surveillance state and rules in which we are forced to be subjected to. The Kuleshov Effect towards the end shows the perspective of an America through the eyes of an Ethiopian immigrant.
