Ailsa is a director and editor from Scotland whose name isn’t quite like Elsa from Frozen, but more like a cold pint of Ale-sa. Ailsa makes short films she can be proud of and tries to develop a new style with every project she does. She has several years’ experience editing and directing TV and online commercials for an advertising company, after graduating with an MA in Film from the University of Glasgow.
With this film I tired to take a candid look at the unique lifestyle of two lamb farmers. I tried to not shy away from an honest portrayal of the often brutal reality of working with animals in this way, as well as capturing the natural peacefulness of the island, tucked away in the West Coast of Scotland.
