Day
Day (2023) is an experimental short film questioning behavior in daily routines. Three people perform everyday tasks in a slightly odd way blurring the border between normal and absurd. When the absurd becomes normal, does the normal behavior become absurd?

Gijs Ebben (1993, Den Haag) is a self taught visual artist, currently based in Brussels. From an early age Gijs developed an interest in creating visuals of all sorts. As a young adult he collaborated on a variety of projects, ranging from portrait photography to theater registrations and (dance) film productions. His visual style is experimental and open for change, a recurring theme is the medium film approached from a photographers perspective. He has a preference for the absurd and has a great eye for detail. He likes to capture the different ways that light can behave, through glass or whichever transparent material.
