We are trying to use film media in order to demonstate that there is a solution to human overpopulation.
I am a biologist and environmentalist and am now an aspiring film writer cum producer. I am passionate about the problems of human overpopulation and have spent most of my life, as a scientist, trying to discover ways of quantitatively evaluating a “sustainable human population”.
I am now trying use film in order to portray the dangers of overpopulation and use this media in order influence and agitate public perception and government policy to do something about this problem.
My main aim, and the aim of fellow producers is to produce a series of BBC style documentary films which can communicate with the media.
I started this project in the late 1980’s by helping to establish the “Optimum Population Trust”. Although this organisation keeps the same original name, it is now known as “Population Matters”. This organisation has many influential members and patrons, although, I personally am now no more than a member of this charity.
