David Hampton owns a full-service advertising agency and has been writing professionally for over 35 years, primarily for radio and TV. He created, produced and co-wrote with John Scott Shepherd, a series of syndicated prime-time television specials called "Profiles in Survival" from 1990 through 1996 that aired nationally on ABC, NBC, CBS & Fox affiliates. The shows featured classic performers such as Steve Allen, George Peppard, Robert Goulet, Darren McGavin, Michael Connors, Richard Belzer, Cliff Roberson, Eileen Brennan, Tracy Nelson and others. He has written six feature-length screenplays and a teleplay pilot.
