Daughterhood
Emma is a normal teenager. She plays sport like a normal teenager. She learnt to drive like a normal teenager. She started high school, occasionally skipped high school and graduated high school like a normal teenager. Everything in Emma’s life is normal. That is, if you call two overprotective mums normal.
At its core, Daughterhood is a coming of age story, and highlights the unique, and sometimes challenging, bond between parents and their children. Daughterhood teaches the viewer that, regardless of relationship or parenting type, childhood of any kind is an enriching, loving, and sometimes embarrassing, experience.

From a young age I have always been interested in filmmaking and multimedia projects. I have continued that passion with my work being recognised by several national and international film festivals. I am currently studying the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Screen) at Flinders University.
Since 2013 my short films have places in a number of film festivals nationally and internationally; Adelaide Youth International Film Festival (Winner, Best Documentary 2017, Official Selection 2019), BUFTA (Winner, Best Screenwriting & nominated for Best Overall Filmmaker 2017), Wollongong International Film Festival, SCOUT Film Festival (USA), and Grenada Afterglow Film Festival (USA).
I aspire to make films that have the potential to influence positive change, shed awareness on subject matters that may often be misrepresented on screen, and share stories that may otherwise go untold.
