Dashiell Meier is a disability advocate, filmmaker and college student. His passion for storytelling leads to a wide range of projects, including film scripts, storyboards, comics and novels. Besides making his own live-action and animated shorts, he collaborates on screenplays to ensure accurate representation of people with Trisomy 21/Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities. As a media studies major, he plans to attend film school to produce movies featuring characters with disabilities on a larger scale. He hosts a YouTube talk show called Playing Favorites and has appeared in film, theatrical and commerical productions. Dashiell works as a disability rights advocate at the nationally and internationally and is currently working on a documentary about the history of Down syndrome.
