This page is dedicated to the film "One More Time", produced in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in collaboration of two directors, Tatsiana Tkachova, a documentary photographer from Belarus, and Darya Gusmanova, a filmmaker from Kazakhstan.
The film was created during a one week program for a documentary filmmakers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
About the film:
"In the heart of Bishkek, 52-year-old Rakhat, a former Kyrgyz language teacher, spends her evenings working along one of the city’s central streets. Unable to support her family on a teacher’s salary, Rakhat was forced to leave the school she loved and move to Russia in search of work. Upon returning to Kyrgyzstan, she discovered that her first love - her husband an the father of her daughters - had left her for another family. This deeply personal story has stayed with Rakhat throughout the years. She relives the emotions she has carried in her heart through her life, blending the pain of
loss with the resilience of moving forward. This is a film about a woman’s resilience, her journey through life’s trials, an her refusal to give up despite the challenges she faced."
