Darkness
Ciro, a 16-year-old from Campania, is compelled to help his family financially; a family made up of only his widowed mother. Whilst he is going through a neighborhood controlled by unscrupulous criminals, he is hit by a bullet to his leg and, once taken to the hospital, the doctors diagnose him with leukemia. Jessica, a school friend who is very attracted to him, tries to reveal her feelings in the hospital. At first he is reluctant to reciprocate, because he does not want to hurt her, but, as soon as the doctors confirm his recovery, he allows himself to open up and show his feelings. The nightmare finally seems to be over.
When Ciro returns home, all of his friends are waiting for him with banners and balloons. At the same time, right near his home, a group of criminals are in a shootout over a failed drug deal, and one of the many stray bullets hits Ciro.
In a moment we understand the tragedy that destiny has reserved for this boy ...
the fragility of life is highlighted in a fleeting second. Where love, medicine wins, but loses territory without rules, where everything is left to chance, where it is possible to die even in a moment of joy lived in the city streets.
Where love and medicine wins, but the chaos of the streets can not be overcome
