Director Biography - Camila Daniela Rey

Technician in Cinema and Audiovisual Arts graduated from the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts of Santa Fe “Fernando Birri”.

From 2015 to 2019 was Screenwriter, Director and Editor of the short films “Efféminé” (fiction), “Artistas Callejeros” (documentary) and “Avant” (fiction), as well as experimental video dances, selected in national festivals. At the same time, she worked as Director of Photography, Camera and Colorist in the short films "Al caer el Sol" (fiction / financed by INCAA) and "Anahí" (animation / exhibited at CINEAR).

In 2019, she won the Advanced Film Project (WIP) Award of the II Entre Ríos International Film Festival, as Producer and Director of her documentary "Danza Combate" (Dance Combat). This made possible her invitation to participate in the FICER Market and “Between Borders” Market.

In 2020, she won the FICER Awards as Screenwriter and Director of the fiction short film "Caja Negra". Also, was the co-writer of "Donde habitan los cuerpos", another winning project.

In 2021, was one of the winners of INCAA Animation Videominute contest, as Creative Producer (Showrunner) of "Tiempo de esperar", where she is working now as Director of Photography.

Currently, she is developing exhibition / distribution as Producer of "Danza Combate" (Dance Combat). After being the winner of the IILA-Cinema Prize, it will be premiered at the Casa del Cinema in Rome within the framework of the 16th Rome Film Festival. In addition, he was invited to screen at the Casa Argentina auditorium in Rome, and to be part of the Unpublished Films Screenings in 14th Cinemaspagna Festival of Spanish and Latinamerican Cinema.
