Karine Ledoyen received dance training in Quebec, then began her career in France.
Back in 2001, she initiated the concept Osez ! (Dare!), which will make its mark in
Quebec and internationally, and which will find a new deployment in 2020: solos in the
city (Dare! In solo), then solos screened in hands (Ready-to-wear Solos). She founded the
company Danse K par K (2005) and signed numerous creations both in theater
and outdoor. Recognized for the relevance of her creative approach and the deep
humanity that emanates from her work, Karine Ledoyen seeks to reveal human fragility
in all its forms. In November 2020, she received the prestigious François-Samson cultural
development award from the Quebec City Council for Culture, which underlines the
significant impact of her work on the development of her discipline. Along with her
career, the choreographer reflects on her artistic practice as part of a master's degree at Université Laval.

Karine Ledoyen reçoit une formation en danse à Québec, puis débute sa carrière en
France. De retour en 2001, elle initie le concept Osez !, qui fera sa marque au Québec et à
l’international, et qui trouvera un nouveau déploiement en 2020 : des solos dans la ville
(Osez ! en solo), puis des solos projetés dans les mains (Solos Prêts-à-porter). Elle fonde
la compagnie Danse K par K (2005) et signe de nombreuses créations en salle comme
hors-salle (appartement, in situ, etc…). Reconnue pour la pertinence de sa démarche
créatrice et la profonde humanité qui émane de son œuvre, Karine Ledoyen est à la quête du dévoilement de la fragilité humaine sous toutes ses formes. En novembre 2020, elle reçoit le prestigieux prix du développement culturel François-Samson du Conseil de la Culture de la région de Québec qui souligne l’impact significatif de son travail pour le
développement de sa discipline. Parallèlement à sa carrière, la chorégraphe réfléchit à sa
pratique artistique dans la cadre d’une maîtrise à l’Université Laval.
