Daniel de Vecchis (born 15 December 2001) is an independent filmmaker based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Hi, I am a film student, writer and director from Belfast, Northern Ireland.
My passion has always laid in the abstract end of cinema, something we don't see very often around my neck of the woods. I have been writing short stories ever since I was as young as 6 taking inspiration from folktales and whatever my mind could conjure up.
Recently, I worked on Snakes & Ladders, a comedy short film dir. by Rab McPhee, inspired by French New Wave cinema. I was chief Cinematographer, Producer and helped in the Art Department. The short film went on to be screened at the Belfast Queens Film Theatre for the Cinemagic Film Festival in the Experimental film category. The film also has won international film festival awards in India, Canada and France. Then film was also shortlisted for the Royal Television Society NI Student Short Film Awards in the Entertainment Category.
My short film 'Irreverence' has moved into the post-production stage and will be released to festivals soon.
