Danny Lee is a 21-year-old screenwriter and aspiring filmmaker from Jambi, Indonesia. Born in Batam on 24 September 2003, he began his screenwriting career on 19 August 2022. Since then, he has written 7 short films and 6 feature films, with one of his shorts being recognized as a semi-finalist in the TSL Free Screenplay Contest on Coverfly in 2024.

At the end of 2024, with limited resources and funding, Lee wrote, produced, and began working on his first short film, Tangshin, to pursue his dream of becoming a filmmaker, inspired by his idol and master, Akira Kurosawa. Lee is committed to creating thought-provoking stories that explore the nature of human experience, and he hopes to continue growing as a storyteller and filmmaker in the Asian film industry.
