Actor, writer and director Daniel Barry hails from Middlesbrough in the north east of England. Since graduating form Drama Centre London in 2004 he spent his spare time specialising in making short films with as small a budget as possible by setting up BetaMan Productions, allowing him to explore the minds of misfits and oddballs.
After a hiatus of almost ten years Daniel has returned to film making with Ron. Written during the first Covid lockdown but not produced until 2023. A story of a man, Ron, played by Barry, plagued with a short temper who acts a little too impulsively, perhaps for the last time.
Shot entirely on an iPhone 13 Pro and with all technical aspects performed by himself.
With various new scripts in the early stages of pre-production including one that requires no actors at all, it shouldn't be another ten years before we see Ron's follow up.
