I'm an independent filmmaker from New Orleans, Louisiana. I received an intensive four-year Media Arts education at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), where I got the opportunity to study with professionals employed in the film industry and use industry-grade film equipment. Currently majoring in Film at the University of New Orleans, I've worked on countless local sets and written/directed numerous films, the most notable being the mockumentary feature film "Generation Necktie."
Shot completely in the New Orleans/South Louisiana area and produced on a shoestring budget, "Generation Necktie" is an independent mockumentary feature film. The main crew consisted of four or five friends, the cast all local actors and actresses. This film was financed almost entirely from my pizza delivery job earnings, with the exception of a successful IndieGoGo fundraising campaign. "Generation Necktie" follows the lives and families of three alienated, idealistic skateboarders and the film crew documenting them as they cope with the difficulties of youth in the 21st century.
I have also done work in the field of commercial filmmaking, music videos, and social media content. The end goal of all these filmmaking shenanigans is to one day be able to make movies without the constant concern of how I'll afford to eat dinner and buy lenses at the same time. But as of now, I'll do what I must, even if it means serving tables 40 hours a week to afford equipment and actor wages. I just love making movies too much.
