Cold Crush
Completely east of Quebec, the Magdalen Islands are an archipelago of rare beauty where a little more than 12,000 people live. Among them, Alexis Boudreau, a 9th generation fisherman, is part of a small community of locals who brave winds and tides by surfing year round. For these passionate people who are never cold-blooded (or cold at all), climate change is a threat that they literally surf on as best they can, for better or for worse.

Ariane Moisan started out in the world of video as a camera woman and editor for the local women's snowboard film production Peepshow Films. Now a multi-disciplinary filmmaker, her work is mainly oriented towards documentary video on alternative lifestyles, the outdoors, art and the environment.
Ariane takes an intimate and privileged look at her subjects, leaving room for the authenticity of the character and the depth of spontaneous emotion. Signed with elegant, poetic and engaging images, her projects have been nominated twice at the Gémeaux Awards in Québec.
