Dalmatia Film Festival (DFF) is an international festival of features, shorts, documentaries and tourism / travel films. The festival takes place in several beautiful Croatian cities: Makarska, Sutivan, Pirovac, Omis and Split during summer and early fall.
The festival in 2021 will take place in July and August (cities Makarska, Sutivan, Pirovac, Omis), with final program in city Split in early December. The exact dates are going to be announced later.

Under the motto "Dalmatia is my Life-line", festival offers indoor film screenings during the day and outdoor screenings during the evening and night, in enchanting and relaxed summertime atmosphere of open-air auditoriums by the sea.

The festival is attended not only by local people and filmmakers, but also by numerous tourists from all over the world, because Sutivan, Pirovac, Makarska, Omiš and Split are lively and popular summertime tourist resorts. DFF is offering a wide range of diverse films of all genres, including some exclusive premieres.

DFF is noted also for its own film production that ranges from short tourism films, commercials and documentaries to the development of feature films. We are looking for filmmakers and also other film festivals interested in collaboration and partnership with us on these and many other projects.

A special audience award (all officially selected and screened films are eligible for this award)

All films must be in English language or have English subtitles. Non-English entries without subtitles are not eligible.

Films completed after (and including) January 1st 2019 are eligible for entries. Exceptions are possible for older films that haven't yet been screened in Croatia.

Each filmmaker can submit up to three films. No premiere status is required, though we give priority to new films, and films that were not previously screened in Croatia.

A short synopsis and three stills are required for all entries. A short trailer or teaser is required for feature films and feature documentaries. You can also include press kits and any other additional material for your film.

Entry does not guarantee acceptance into the festival. All entrants will be notified about the selection on July 1, 2021 at the latest (or much earlier in many cases), and they will be contacted to submit the screening prints and materials for the festival catalog.

Festival accepts screening prints with english subtitles, in high quality digital file format (for example: Quicktime or mp4 / H.264, H.265 or ProRes codec / resolution no less than 1920x1080).

By submitting your film, you allow Dalmatia Film Festival to use brief excerpts from your film and materials such as trailers, teasers, film posters, stills for promotional purpose.

The festival reserves the right to determine the cities where each film will be screened (Sutivan, Pirovac, Makarska, Omis, Split).

If you're author of the selected film, and you want to visit our festival and introduce your film, please contact us at info@dalmatia-filmfestival.com
