I knew I wanted to make people laugh from the time I came in second place in the fourth grade talent show in small town West, Texas. Performing a lip sync of "Just the two of us" by Dr. Evil from Austin Powers 2. Losing to a someone singing Bible songs, my origin story began.
I moved to Dallas, Tx at the age of 20, to attend film & tv acting classes, as well as my first experience in the world of improv! I would have the opportunity to fill a lifelong dream of being casting in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie! It was a featured part, but it was mine!
I eventually moved to Chicago where I studied sketch and improv at the world famous Second City! After some years of performing off and on, during the pandemic (as many did) I found myself dabbling more in the psychedelic realm of things. While taking the most LSD I had ever consumed and while watching 2001: A Space Odyssey I realized that ever since that moment in the fourth grade, everything has been leading up to me becoming a writer/director/actor.
They say to write what you know, and what I know, is that many people my age and younger are terrified for the future. Where so many other people see a chance to make souless profit of the commercial impact of "content", I strive to prove that you can still make small-mid budget films that can succeed in inspiring, entertaining, and profiting all at the same time. My art is and will be made to encourage those to stand up for what they believe in. To fight for what is necessary and decent. And to strive to show that people still care about the original story.
