Director Biography - John Jacob Myers, Jacob Ciocci

Jacob Ciocci is a dad, artist, and animation professor at DePaul University. He is best known as 1/3rd of the Paper Rad art collective and ½ of the electronic musical group Extreme Animals.

Jake Myers is a dad, writer, director, animator, and volleyball coach living in LA. He is best known for the horror short, Emojihead, on Blumhouse’s CryptTV.

Director Statement

Becoming a parent for the first time is a psychedelic experience that completely reshapes your understanding of the world and your place in it. In Dad Budz, we also wanted to show the psychedelic experience toddlers must go through while acquiring visual and verbal language as a way to understand the chaos around them.
