DV8 is Brooklyn- based film festival in which artists and non-artists alike are invited to shoot a film on either DV Tape or Super 8mm film within a 48 hour time period and submit it to screen.

We strive to showcase filmmakers from different backgrounds and levels of experience, and seek to create community amongst filmmakers rather than competition and take great pride in screening all works submitted.

Rules:
1. All submissions must be shot on Mini DV tape or Super 8 film.
2. Absolutely NO software or table editing allowed. Projects must be shot sequentially.
3. All projects must be shot no earlier than Friday, May 5th at 5 PM and no later than May 7th at 8 PM. A prop, which will be announced on May 5th must be featured in the project.
4. Tapes/Film, along with submission fees must be turned in at the designated location on May 7th between 7 and 8 PM.
5. If you are shooting on Super 8, or are planning on to take part in Du-All Camera's rental program. please register on FilmFreeway prior to April 24th.
