Director Biography - Jaime Arteaga Heredia

JAIME ARTEAGA HEREDIA

Born in Barquisimeto, Edo. Lara, a student at UNEARTE LARA, and at BARQUICINEMA, of which, as a director, his works stand out: LA MUJER MISTERIOSA, made in the UNEARTE Initial Path and becoming an official selection in the regional shorts mention at the Barquisimeto Film Festival 2023, and the short film EL BUENO EL MALO Y EL PERRO, made in the 2nd cohort of BARQUICINEMA, screened in cinemas and is currently in the festival stage.

At the end of 2023, Jaime joins the great Larense team of the CAPIBARA COLLECTIVE, which is made up of a group of students from UNEARTE LARA, along with amateurs and professionals of photography and audiovisuals, in order to seek to consolidate themselves in the artistic medium. audiovisual. Among his works prior to Jaime's integration, the short film RESILIENCIA stands out, which was screened at the 1st Amábilis Cordero Festival in 2023.

DUALITY is the most recent work of the Capibara Collective, a short film by the director Jaime Arteaga Heredia, which is presented as a university project, aspiring to continue climbing at the cinematographic level and reach festivals and more people.

JAIME ARTEAGA HEREDIA

Nacido en Barquisimeto, edo. Lara, estudiante de UNEARTE LARA, y de BARQUICINEMA, del que se destacan, como realizador, sus obras: LA MUJER MISTERIOSA, realizado en Trayecto Inicial UNEARTE y consiguiendo ser selección oficial en la mención cortos regionales del Festival de Cine Barquisimeto 2023, y el cortometraje EL BUENO EL MALO Y EL PERRO, realizado en la 2da cohorte de BARQUICINEMA, proyectado en cine y actualmente se encuentra en etapa de festivales.

A finales del 2023, Jaime se une al gran equipo larense del COLECTIVO CAPIBARA, el cual lo componen un grupo de estudiantes de UNEARTE LARA, junto a aficionados y profesionales de la fotografía y los audiovisuales, con el fin de buscar consolidarse en el medio artístico audiovisual. Entre sus trabajos anteriores a la integración de Jaime, se destaca el cortometraje RESILIENCIA que fue proyectado en el 1er Festival Amábilis Cordero en el 2023.

DUALIDAD es la obra más reciente del Colectivo Capibara, un cortometraje de la mano del realizador Jaime Arteaga Heredia, el cual se presenta como proyecto universitario, aspirando a seguir escalando a nivel cinematográfico y conseguir llegar a festivales y más personas.

DUALITY is a raw film that touches on the reality of many women in Venezuela and all of Latin America: Sexual harassment.

The intention of this short film is to show the light side and the dark side of people, leaving the morality of good and bad to the viewer's judgment.
