GENERAL RULES: All films submitted to the DRAFT Fest must be accompanied with a completed submission form and the required, non-refundable submission fee.
Films must be submitted to the festival electronically via FilmFreeway.
Selection for the DRAFT Fest is decided by the Film Selection Committee. All selected filmmakers will be notified by the staff and invited to participate in the festival. Filmmakers will be notified as soon as possible once selected for inclusion.
Films must be made within three years of submission deadline.
Maximum film run-time is 22 min.
Films posted on public websites will NOT be accepted (i.e. public youtube or filmmakers webpage or facebook page)
No film shall use unlicensed material of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, music, songs, soundtracks, or intellectual property of another.
The DRAFT Fest will make a reasonable effort to ensure unauthorized intellectual property is not selected. However, ultimate liability rests with the filmmaker.
If film is selected the following information will be required:
- Digital exhibit copy of the film
- Short description of the film
- Two digital film stills (Not production images)
- One digital one-sheet poster for the film
Note submission fees film start extremely reasonable and double at each deadline. Submit films early to save money. No time deadline extensions will be given.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: By submitting an entry, Entrant recognizes and accepts their work will be screened without compensation, both during the selection process and in the theater, if selected.
Entrant agrees not to hold DRAFT Fest liable for any damages that may occur to his work, either in-transit, or while in possession of the DRAFT Fest staff.
Submitting authorizes the DRAFT Fest to use clips and/or stills of the submitted film in promotional materials for the DRAFT Fest, both currently and in the future.
All work submitted to the DRAFT Fest will be digitized and made available on a secure site for the festival judges to review.
Entrant agrees to the Official Rules, and further agrees to indemnify and hold the DRAFT Fest Parties and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, and any of their employees (collectively, the "Project Indemnitees"), harmless from any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Project Indemnitees due to or arising out of the Entrant's Entry materials in this Project, or the Entrant's conduct during and in connection with this Project, including but not limited to trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property rights, right of publicity, right of privacy or defamation.
Entrant agrees to release, indemnify and hold harmless the DRAFT Fest and Associated Parties from any and all claims that any advertising, presentation, web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of the DRAFT Fest or the Associated Parties infringes on the rights of Entrant's work as contained in any Entry.
