"DOWN BELOW" - NEPTHISIS Music Video Short Film

A marriage of horror film score and heavy metal, NEPTHISIS is an exceptional and fresh take on the gothic rock genre.
NEPTHISIS is spotlighted in Metal Temple, Ghost Cult Magazine, Ripple Music, Terra Relicta, and more. NEPTHISIS has dark cinematic rock, goth, industrial, & experimental darkwave influences - reminiscent of certain aspects of Portishead, PJ Harvey, Zola Jesus, Chelsea Wolfe, Gazelle Twin, and even Evanescence. NEPTHISIS was on a list of weekly Top 10 songs from 'Prog Magazine,' played on International Radio Stations, and had hundreds of thousands of streams on Instagram reels with their music promoting the Hollywood feature film "Bones and All."

Sheila Eden herself is an award-nominated musician for film and television, with placements in NBC, APTN-LUMI, Hallmark, and Top 10 Films on Redbox. She is also an IATSE filmmaker and an Ariel Award Nominee in Mexico with numerous film credits. Her music has also been heard at the Canadian Screen Awards & Filmapalooza.

NEPTHISIS unleashed their darkness-fueled, chaos-driven album Spiral Hollow on January 21, 2022. It was spotlighted and got a 9/10 in the prestigious UK magazine Distorted Sound,
"Spiral Hollow is an outstanding debut album. Stripped back and haunting, Eden knows how to captivate an audience with her voice, like a siren calling sailors to land."

From Terra Relicta, "Down Below goes for a different feeling, one with industrial groove while still having a sinister tone."

Spearheaded by multi-disciplined artist Sheila Eden, Spiral Hollow comes from a place below the surface where the sleepless and sinister dwell. Heavily inspired by Egyptian mythology and the twin goddesses Nephthys and Isis - from which the outfit garners their name - Spiral Hollow is transformed by the darkest of dreams and the most primal desires. Musically, this exploration takes on gothic nuances while abandoning any hesitation in exchange for a more aggressive spirit unbound by genres.

Sheila Eden comments: “During the pandemic, I took a deep, dark dive and unleashed my true honest, chosen sound and identity in an album under the dark goddess name & brand NEPTHISIS. The music is dark and heart-wrenching, and pairs with cinematic visuals and storytelling. This is my dream, and it’s coming to fruition. It feels exciting and vulnerable, daring and aligned.”

NEPTHISIS is a multi-faceted and dynamic musical discovery that will engulf fans in a shroud of the unknown. Walk the uncharted path with NEPTHISIS.

"Down Below" is filmed on a high-end 360 degree camera in the desert of New Mexico, with a talented, dedicated micro-crew of independent film creators.
