Director Biography - Maja Pilati

Maja Pilati is an Italian artist and video maker based in Barcelona.
For now, the director's body of media works has remained private or represented in specific events, such as "Videozero", the historical review of art and cinema curated by Francesco Ballo, in collaboration with the "Milano Film Festival", the "Leoncavallo Self-managed Public Space" or "Carroponte, Spazio Mil" in Milan.
Her first experience as an active participant in festivals comes from her film studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera, a student of Michelangelo Frammartino, and from her participation in the organization of workshops for five years at the analogical experimental video festival "Analogica ", based in Bolzano, Italy, this year for its 12th edition. She also did internships at the “Crater Lab” an experimental film laboratory in Barcelona ​​and was invited by Luis Macías and Adriana Vila as artist-in-residence.
